About Hannah
Hannah started Judo at the age of eight as a means of self-defence. Being a talented all-round sports person, she took to the sport at once. Hannah excels at both rugby and netball. Her first ever Judo competition was the Welsh National Mini Mon Championships, where she won gold. To date she has amassed over fifty titles to her credit. She has won several Player of the Day awards. Last year she was awarded a trophy as the most promising young player in Wales by the Welsh Judo Association.
Hannah is a member of the Welsh National junior team and the Great Britain Cadet team (world class start programme). She has won both gold and bronze medals at the Junior National Championships. Hannah has been the Welsh under-16s champion for two consecutive years, winning her first title at the age of twelve. As a member of the British Cadet team, she has won several medals at International competitions abroad.
Having been hampered by injury, Hannah has successfully returned to the mat once more. This year she has competed at two events so far, namely the Midland Under 20s and the North West Age Banded Open, winning both silver and bronze medals.
For the first time in several years, Wales entered the National Team Championships (2/7/05). Hannah won her contest convincingly by Ippon (maximum score) within several seconds.
Hannah's goals for the future are to enjoy her judo, continue to be successful and hopefully stay clear of any serious injury.
Hannah is proud to be associated with CrackedFinger, and is extremely grateful for their continued sponsorship.
