7 - APPEAL FOR INSTRUCTORS FOR THE SOUTH OF ENGLAND MARTIAL ARTS FESTIVAL FOR DISABLED PEOPLE 8.12.2004.

Festival chairman, Terry Taylor, has voiced an appeal for volunteer instructors,
"We are appealing to instructors and volunteer assistants for the event, as whilst I have a good number already in place if we are to reach the 500 invitees target i.e. for those trying out martial arts as opposed to instructors then we are going to need quite a few additional people to help teach them all."

The South of England Martial Arts Festival for Disabled People is now confirmed for Wednesday 8 December 2004. It will take place at Cascades Leisure Centre, Gravesend, Kent and is kindly supported by Gravesham Disability Sportslink, Kent Sports Development Unit, London Sports Forum for Disabled People and others.

Festival Chairman, Terry Taylor said: "It will be a very full day as, new for 2004, we will also be having a first ever kata/forms all-styles competition specifically aimed at practising martial artists with disabilities".

The ever-popular try-it-out sessions and demo's will continue to be included. 500 people are expected to attend including around 100 competitors. Interest in this year's Festival is already very high indeed. Bookings will therefore be available very soon.

Terry adds: "The Festival's reputation has continued to grow year on year. Regular enquiries continue also to be received from overseas. Thus we will be welcoming international representatives this year too."
