Swinton Shotokan Karate Club is a small and friendly club, suitable for all ages and abilities!
We are a member of the Federation of Shotokan Karate and affiliated with the English Karate Governing Body.
A lot of the teaching emphasis is placed upon ensuring all students have a good knowledge of basic techniques, as this is essential for every area of karate. However, students who wish to train for competitions are actively helped and encouraged, with a current kata world champion as a member of the club!
The Sensei is Mr Graham Smith, 4th Dan, who has had over 30 years experience of karate training.
Not all members of the club were present for the photograph on this page, unfortunately. We currently have around 35 members, both adults and children.
