Junction judo was founded in 1996 by Steve Clarke. We are a friendly club with two classes on a Monday evening at Llandudno Junction Leisure Centre.
7-8p.m. for 6-10 year olds, a mixed class of Dragon players (a non-competitive scheme is run for 5-8years by Welsh Judo) and mon grades (junior grade from 8-16 years).
8-9p.m. for 10-16 year olds, these players are required to attend the first class to assist in looking after the younger players, judo is a very physical sport. Admission to the older class is at the coach's discretion.
Steve Clarke has a black belt 4th dan in judo and has a Senior Coach Award. Bangor University Judo Club is also coached by Steve, any one over the age of 16 wishing to take up the sport can contact Steve, on 01492 622928 / 07941 389513.
Norman Hughes is also a qualified club coach and coaches at Junction along with Laura Hughes.
Robin Fairclough is our Child Protection Officer, a scheme run by the Sports Council for Wales is trying to ensure all Welsh sports clubs have one appointed. Robin is also Club Chairman and can be contacted on 01492 572534.
