Due to his expertise and knowledge in fight psychology Steve is currently the technical advisor on street defence. Private classes in Karate based reality training and advanced bunkai are available. Contact Steve on his email address for further details.
Dean Siggers -
Dean (son of Steve) is ranked 2nd Dan in Shotokan Karate, and has been training in the martial arts since 1983, when he was 6 years old.
Dean was highly successful in competition at National level and represented Great Britain in the 1990 SKI European championships.
About the time when Steve was looking at the effectiveness of groundwork techniques Dean stumbled across the success story of the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu legend Royce Gracie, and began looking into how Gracie or Brazilian Jiu Jitsu could help his Dad's search for making their martial arts more effective.
The search continued for Steve and Dean and they were lucky enough to train with Royce Gracie in 2001, 2002 and 2005.
Dean spent a period of time training with Marc Walder of the Royce Gracie Jiu Jitsu Network,London in 2001 & 2002 and with Eddie Kone of Royler Gracie David Adiv Jiu Jitsu in 2005
Dean competed in the first ever UK Gracie Jiu Jitsu tournament in 2001 and in 2005 Dean was awarded his Blue Belt in BJJ by Royce Gracie in person.
For Dean BJJ is one of the largest parts of the martial arts puzzle, but he does not discount the impact traditional ethics have on the development of spirituality within an open minded martial artist.
