Fung (Yang) Sau Kung Fu / Hand of the Wind(Hard). As soft as a butterflies wing, yet as hard as a tornado. The roots of this system go back to the 'Li' Family Style of Feng Shou, reputed to be over 2,000 years old. The Style has a Daoist base, but has Shaolin/Silum influences in later years...Ebbing and flowing, expanding and contracting, the style goes on - following the tao. The Style is well known for it's Kum Na / Chin Na, Locks and Holds, which are indeed very powerful. Also taught is Striking With Hands and Feet -Da ( Knees and Elbows ). Sealing Breath - Bi Chi. Footwork - Stances and Patterns - Bu. Forms - Bare-hand and Weapons. Breathing Exercises - Chi Gong. Self Defence - Gee Wai. Sitting Quiet. Sparring - Light and Full Contact. (Not compulsory) Lion Dance.
Darryl Cross has studied Kung Fu for over 35 years... He was Graded to Sifu in China in 2000 by the fighters of The Ching Woo Association in Guang Zhou.
Everyone is always welcome to come along and join in our friendly classes. The Style is soft, the training can sometimes be hard... but always with a smile.
